Deputy Liberal Democrat Leader in the Lords, and former Party President, Lord Dholakia will be visiting the Liberal Democrat HQ in Oxford to meet with Steve Goddard, Oxford East Liberal Democrats parliamentary candidate, and rally supporters and activists this Thursday, 22nd April.

Lord Dholakia is one of the most respected Liberal Democrat peers. He has served as Party President and is currently Deputy Lib Dem Leader in the Lords, having been elected in 2004. He has a strong background in policing and home affairs and also worked for the CRE. In 2000 he was named 'Asian of the Year', and he won the Pride of India Award in 2005. He has been a Peer since 1997.

Steve said "I'm delighted that Navnit is supporting our campaign. He's been a respected voice on policing and home affairs for many years and a great performer in the Lords. With supporters like Lord Dholakia it is clear that the Liberal Democrats have a great chance of winning Oxford East."
