Keep Residents' Parking Free

To: Keith Mitchell,

Tory Leader of Oxfordshire County Council,

County Hall,

Oxford.

We, the undersigned, call on Cllr. Keith Mitchell and his fellow Conservative councillors to re-think their rushed plans to introduce charging for residents parking in Oxford City.

As well as penalising residents just because they don't have drives, it will lead to woeful environmental side-effects as residents concrete their front gardens into parking spaces to avoid the charge. The County Council's consultation was a sham and Tories from outside Oxford should stop their imperial attitude to a city in which they have no elected representatives in, and no legitimacy.
